This is terrible news!
I just wanted to add, if you are not nearby but are interested in adoping, please don't be shy about applying to adopt! I live several states away, but the adoption coordinator has worked very hard to understand my life and my home, etc., and to help figure out which dog would be a good fit for me, and vice versa. I am actually adopting two of Carrol's dogs, and I couldn't be more excited to bring them home. Please consider adopting one (or two!) of these sweetie pies, everyone! They will love you forever.
