Murphy is doing "all - right"

Remember Murphy the dog beaten in Atlanta with a sledge hammer? He is at home and doing better then expected. In fact - Murphy will be joining the New Years Eve parade as a honorary golden retriever in the Chick-fil-A Bowl parade (shhhhh.. do not tell Murphy he is a mutt) with his new best friend Robert. Robert has been volunteering with the Golden Retriever Rescue of Atlanta. I am sure both will have big smiles during the parade! I know so many people will be thrilled not only to see Murphy out there strutting his stuff, but to see the kind man who saved him.

I had the pleasure of talking in length with Robert and he is by far the nicest - down to earth guy, of course he is - he saved Murphy! The day he picked up Murphy's little damaged body up at the park, it so happened to have been Robert's 60th birthday. The vet said Murphy had little chances of living due to all the head damage. Robert just could not bare to put him down, even though it was not his dog, he took a chance and I think he is pretty darn happy with that decision and so is Murphy! I think from here forward Robert & Murphy will have a lot to celebrate on December 2nd! His story is amazing and people all the way from Canada & Puerto Rico have donated towards Murphy's $6k vet bill, pretty amazing huh? I think so.  In the new year I will have the pleasure to photograph Robert and his 3 dogs and I so look forward to meeting all of them and getting some fun photos of their new journey together!
