1.28.09 - Update on Rainsville Alabama situation
EIGHT (8) dogs left behind! We have a week to get them out. We have asked the judge for a small extension we can get these dogs that are committed to transported. Weather is a factor up north.
TRANSPORTS HELP NEEDED! - ANYONE UP FOR A ROAD TRIP!
Alabama to Connecticut - We need to rent a van, load it with crates and have two people drive it to the Connecticut area. You would drive straight through with no overnight until you drop the dogs, then you can sleep all you want! :) We have at least 3 dogs going and hopefully by the time it can be set, we will have many more! All gas and hotel will be paid.
Note: we can not transport these dogs by paid transporter b/c they take 3-4 days to go from AL to CT. We can not transport these dogs by relay transport b/c it is far too dangerous for shy dogs to be out of cars in parking lots 15 times and far too stressful.

Rainsville to Mobile: Garlik needs to get to his rescue in Mobile, AL. I will be posting a run sheet for this transport this afternoon at www.forgottenpaws.com/transports-greenacres.htm
Donations needed: for Gas for the transport and Hotel! We are also having to spend money to get each dog up to date on everything and also get health certificates. Receiving people are assisting in this somewhat but we are still drowning in bills. Carol had $20 to her name last week until a wonderful lady in Louisiana made a great donation. However, that paid the outstanding vet bill and she is back to square one.

What is the news on these guys. I feel sick thinking there were only 8 left that might have a bad fate. But I am hoping good thoughts until I hear from you.
